Allan has been involved in public education for the past 33 years, with assignments ranging from teaching science, Russian and robotics, mentoring early career teachers in Alaskan native villages, and being a school principal for grades K-12 in Vermont and Alaska. Currently he is the instructional coach and technology integrationist for Charlotte Central School, while pursuing a life-long passion for space education as a NASA Solar System Ambassador through the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Allan is also the Transformational Learning Leader at Charlotte Central School in Vermont where he partners with teachers like CoPresenter Tasha Grey to help create engaging learning experiences that are rich in content, technology and challenge. Prior to moving to Vermont to become a Principal, he spent 25 years teaching science and Russian in Alaska. His passion is space science, and he has been a consultant and outreach coordinator with several NASA projects and is currently a JPL Solar System Ambassador.
